Sometime this year (2011) all google apps user accounts will transitioned over to accounts that allow access to all of google's services.
If you have accounts that have not been transitioned, you will see a notice on you Google Apps admin dashboard with an option to transition your users now.
Once an account has been transitioned, do the following:
1. First make sure that Youtube is enabled in your apps admin panel.
- Go to the "Organization & Users" tab
- Then to the "Services" tab
- Then scroll down to the "Other Google Services (63)" section and find Youtube.
- Turn it on.
2. Go to youtube and log in with your google apps domain username and password.
Once users log into youtube with their apps domain username and password, they will have a youtube account associated with the domain. They can upload and store videos etc. There is no storage limit either.
With the new Youtube privacy settings it is possible to keep company videos private and share them through private links you can distribute to your users.
